The Imperial Bathrooms Guarantee Explained

Imperial Bathrooms Windsor now offers two guarantees, one for fully project managed installations and one for supply only projects. Both promise the same thing in different ways: to recommend products, materials and solutions that our team would be confident using in their own homes.

Knowing exactly what a guarantee covers, and just as importantly what it does not, makes it far easier to choose the right route for your bathroom project. Here is a plain-language breakdown of both.

The Installation Guarantee

If you choose a fully project managed installation, your bathroom is backed by three specific commitments.

  • Every product specified is one the team would install in their own home, using fitters they would trust with their own bathroom.
  • The person who surveys your bathroom is the same person who installs it, so there are no handoffs and nobody to chase.
  • A no-quibble 3-year workmanship guarantee on the installation itself.

The phrase “no-quibble” is doing real work here. It means that if something genuinely goes wrong with the workmanship within those three years, it gets fixed without a debate about whose fault it was or how it happened. It is worth noting that this guarantee applies specifically to Imperial’s own installation service. If you supply the bathroom yourself but bring in a different installer, the workmanship guarantee sits with them, not with Imperial.

The Supply-Only Guarantee

Plenty of customers already have a trusted installer, builder or architect and simply want the right products specified and supplied. The Supply-Only Guarantee covers that side of the relationship.

  • Designers will not recommend anything they would not install in their own home.
  • Every product is chosen for style and substance together, never one at the expense of the other.
  • Aftercare is tailored, not a generic script read from a call centre.

This guarantee covers the recommendations and specifications, not the workmanship of a third-party installer. If your own fitter makes an error, that sits outside what Imperial can put right, which is exactly why the initial consultation is used to talk through who is installing and how experienced they are with the products being specified.

Why two guarantees instead of one

A single blanket guarantee sounds simpler, but it would not be honest. Imperial cannot fairly promise to fix workmanship carried out by someone outside the business, and it would not be reasonable to ask a customer paying for full project management to accept the same limited cover as someone buying products only. Splitting the guarantee into two tiers means each customer gets a promise that actually matches the service they are paying for.

What the guarantee does not cover

Being upfront about the limits of a guarantee matters as much as explaining what it includes. Neither guarantee covers accidental damage after handover, normal wear and tear, or work carried out by a third party outside Imperial’s control. On a fully project managed job, the workmanship guarantee is specific to the installation itself, rather than to how individual products perform over time under their own manufacturers’ warranties, which run separately.

This is a detail worth asking about directly with any bathroom company, not just Imperial. A guarantee that sounds generous but is vague about its limits is far less useful than one that is specific, even if that specific version sounds slightly less impressive on the page.

If you would like to talk through which route, and which guarantee, fits your project, book a design appointment at the Windsor showroom or get in touch via the contact page.

FAQs

What does “no-quibble” mean under the Installation Guarantee?

It means that if a genuine workmanship issue arises within the 3-year period, it gets fixed without a lengthy debate about fault or cause. The guarantee is designed to be straightforward to use, not something you have to argue your way into.

What is the difference between the Installation Guarantee and the Supply-Only Guarantee?

The Installation Guarantee covers a fully project managed job carried out by Imperial’s own installers, including a 3-year workmanship guarantee. The Supply-Only Guarantee covers the products and design recommendations, not the workmanship of a third-party installer you bring in yourself.

Does the Supply-Only Guarantee cover work by my own installer?

No. The Supply-Only Guarantee covers the specification and quality of the products recommended. Workmanship carried out by an installer outside Imperial Bathrooms is between you and that installer.

How long does the workmanship guarantee last?

The no-quibble workmanship guarantee runs for 3 years and applies exclusively to Imperial Bathrooms Windsor’s own fully project managed installation service.

What isn’t covered by either guarantee?

Neither guarantee covers accidental damage after handover, normal wear and tear, or work carried out by a third party outside Imperial’s control. Manufacturer warranties on individual products also run separately from the workmanship guarantee.
